Mohu® Leaf Ranger Amplified Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna

I got what I hoped for from the Leaf Ranger but be warned, while it is "easy to install", it may not be easy to get the results you want. I had a 10+ year old Leaf indoor antenna and was amazed by what it did but wanted better reception from a tower 36 miles away. The Leaf Ranger provides a noticeably better picture from all the stations with no pixilation even with strong storms between the tower and me. Antenna reviews seem to say either people loved their purchase or it failed completely. I understand that now because after experimenting with the many on-line "how to's", I was close to giving up. Some things I learned that aren't on-line are: 1st, the antenna location that worked best for my old "non-directional" Leaf didn't work well for the "multi-directional" Leaf Ranger. I had to find the best (attic) location for the Leaf Ranger. 2nd, use pliers to gently snug coax connections. Fingers are clumsy and are not always strong enough to overcome the cable twist created from tightening the connectors without a tool. Finally, experiment with and without the amplifier. I read about amplifier problems but I almost didn't check if it was helping, it was a negative in my case.

Haven't had a hi-def antenna before. I first purchased the ReLeaf. I'll be polite. My grandma's casket gets better reception. But, let me say, before I'm canceled, that the Leaf Ranger made me believe in the positive reviews I've seen. ALL of the networks are crystal clear along with 35 other channels. Pretty good for KC. Cable is cut.

After moving the antenna around for the better part of an hour (and rescanning between moves), the best it could pull in was 61 channels (the worst was 23). I went back to using the 1by one antenna I had been using and it pulled in 94 channels. Perhaps the Mohu is better for the flatlands and not a mountainous area such as Las Vegas? I will be contacting the company about a refund.

Not convinced it can receive stations up to 75 miles away with normal usage. Even using several locations and orientations, I have been unable to receive stations that I know are within 50 miles.

I live in a very dead zone with channel is being very difficult to come in so I thought if I were to look online and find a antenna that could get me some of the bigger channels like CBS or ABC I was willing to spend a little bit more and this one says it would reach the mileage I would need to be able to get better channels but I still continue to get the same channels that I can get with just a tiny antenna that cost five bucks. I’m really truly disappointed and feel like I wasted my money

I live in a very rural area between two major television hubs. We have always had a difficult time with reception and digital breakup. I took a chance with this antenna. It took me 2 days of moving it and scanning for channels but I found 40! Everything we need plus more. It worked best near a window after from large trees. I would buy it again.

With the Corinavirus, I had some additional family staying with us. We did not have another television outlet in the spare bedroom, so I begin to investigate an antenna which was compact and had the ability to be used outdoors for a possible future usage. I purposely selected this antenna as it is flat, and has some options for almost any mounting configuration. With family, I did not want to have any wires laying around or an antenna looking out the window - as I preferred the antenna to be in the closet (stealth) and hidden. With the extra coax provided (as it is labeled as on outdoor antenna), I would have ample amount to complete the task and keep it out of sight. I neatly routed the wire from the small preamplfier and positioned the antenna in the closet. This antenna is so simple to mount, the install was done in minutes. After a scan of the channels, the Striker rewarded me with 26 local channels. For an antenna mounted inside a closet and an interior room of the home, I will have to say that Mohu has done a great job. This antenna exceeded my expectations and I highly recommended it.
